REFILLABLE Water bottle
- In an effort to be kind to the environment, we do NOT provide individual bottles of water!
- Our WATER WAGON will make frequent rounds throughout the event to refill the water bottles you have brought with you.
- Walls are not required, but are beneficial.
- We DO allow canopies, but be aware that these are generally not as sturdy and more likely to twist or fly!
- Tents or canopies MUST be no larger than 10'x10'
- You might try Craigslist, talk to other artists, Ebay, etc. for tents though don't wait until the last minute!
- A single tent or canopy without sufficient weights can cause havoc when it lifts, tips over, or FLIES!
- A MINIMUM of 40 lbs per leg of the tent or canopy is recommended
- Artwork could be damaged, but there is also a major risk of harm to humans, pets, fellow artist's tents and their contents! The link below provides instructions for one type of weights you can build yourself. This is NOT the only option, but is one that works well.
- A MINIMUM of 40 lbs per leg of the tent or canopy is recommended
- Your set up will be checked before the show starts to ensure that it is properly weighted
- Search the web for ideas - Pinterest, ArtFairInsiders, Google will help you here!
- Your display represents you and YOUR WORK! Make it as attractive and appealing as possible so attendees will want to come inside and buy some of your artwork!
- If you have a smart phone or tablet with wifi service you have subscribed to, Square is a good choice for an easy credit card payment method. This is just one option, but being able to accept credit & debit payments is a great way to increase the potential to make sales!
- Cash & change!
- It is NOT a good idea to keep a typical cash box out in the open that screams "Money inside!"
- While not a high fashion item, a fanny pack could be a secure way to keep cash.
- Regardless of how you keep your cash, make certain it is hidden and secure at all times.
- It is NOT a good idea to keep a typical cash box out in the open that screams "Money inside!"
- The folder you receive at check in will contain many items you will need including though not limited to:
- Booth sign & name tag
- Booth map with your specific booth location
- Zip ties to hang your sign
- Parking information
- Food options - local restaurants & event site food pop-ups
- Illinois state tax coupon which you must complete and send within two weeks following the show.
- A display space that is MUCH larger than found at most shows!
- Each artist will have a 14' wide space PLUS extra space BEHIND their tent
- Booth sitters
- Volunteers will be on had to "man your booth" if you need a break though they are NOT to sell for you.
- Overnight security
- Provided on both Friday and Saturday nights
- Neither the City of Elgin nor Art for All will be held responsible for any loss or damage during the event
