Bringing an art event to life can be like a three ring circus, but we've got a plan to keep it simple provided everyone does their part.
Some Basic info you need to know:
Friday, Aug. 2*
*WEATHER PERMITTING! If strong winds or storms are predicted or present, you will be advised to wait until Saturday morning to set up your booth!
You may check in during the following arrival time & take as much time as you need to set up your tent.
Arrive 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
NOTE: If you are setting up on Friday and there are a small number of artists in your booth area, there will be no need to move your car to a parking lot.
Saturday, Aug. 3rd
Arrive between 5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
PROCEDURE
Some Basic info you need to know:
- The show will be held rain or shine!
- In the event of severe weather such as powerful thunderstorms, hail, or tornado warnings, an evacuation will be required. While we understand the value of your artwork, tent, and supplies, our primary concern is for all individuals participating or attending the show!
- There will be three security officers covering the Artist Booth area on both Friday and Saturday nights.
- At all times, the responsibility for your possessions is yours. Neither the City of Elgin nor Art for All will be held responsible for any loss or damage.
- It is also YOUR responsibility to ensure that your tent or canopy is weighted properly at all times.
- It is sometimes helpful to lower your tent before closing up for the night.
- Keeping your artwork overnight inside your tent is entirely up to you, but again, it is your responsibility.
- Artist may drive to their booths at the end of the show on Saturday to remove artwork, BUT all traffic MUST flow one way from south to north. With booths lining both sides of the street, it is preferred that you use a hand truck or cart to transport your artwork and supplies to your vehicle where it is parked.
